A Product That Delivers Value
We need to have is a product that delivers value.
If you are new to Internet marketing, you may be wondering what I can deliver that offers enough value that someone would be willing to pay for it.
That’s a great question. One that many marketers have been asking for a long time.
There is no simple answer to this.
The good thing is there are many answers.
We see all kinds of offers every day. There are eBooks, audios, videos that offer training on subjects that people like you and I need help with.
Think about it, if you are an internet marketer then you want to know more about how to build a better website or drive more traffic to your website.
There’s training on how to write content, build a list, convert traffic into buyers and the list goes on.
This is just the basics. What about if you are into bodybuilding or weight loss. There are hundreds if not thousands of different approaches to these subjects too.
And we are just scratching the surface. Maybe you are really good at something and want to share that with others. You could be a coach or a creator of websites, graphics, video, photography and so on.
As you can see there as so many subjects that you can look at.
I know, maybe you are thinking, but I’m not good at any of these things. That’s OK, don’t get discouraged. You can learn any skill and then teach it to others.
Look, if you want to build an Internet marketing business or an offline business, then you can make it happen if you put your mind to it.
A Website That Effectively Communicates Value
Now that we have a product that provides value to our prospect, we need to be able to convey the benefit of having our product.
We need to define the benefits that the person will get from having access to the product.
This can and should be done using text, pictures, and video. People relate to information in different ways and we want to make sure that they can relate to the message.
It’s also a good idea to get testimonials for your product.
This is easier than it may sound. Reach out to people in your niche. Offer them a copy of whatever it is you are selling for their honest feedback.
You are looking for honest feedback, both good and bad. Hey, if the product needs work, then you need to know before you start to promote it.
If the product is really good, you can ask to use the feedback on your sales page.
People Hungry for Your Product
This is the most important part. Before you create a product, you want to know that there are people out there spending money in the niche.
There’s no point in spending time building something that no one is interested in.
Plan to spend some time talking with people that are interested in your niche and find out what they are looking for.
What they are willing to purchase.
Find one thing, in particular, to focus on. Create a solution for a specific need, not a one size fits all solution.
You Need Something You Can Use as Leverage
We will need to create a report or a video that can be used as leverage. This is commonly referred to as a lead magnet or giveaway.
This is something of value that compliments the product that you will ultimately be promoting.
You want the offer to be so good you would want to sell it. You may wonder why you want to just give it away.
The way you want to look at this is, when the person that subscribes to get the gift sees how good the content is, they will be wowed and more interested in finding out what is in the product you are promoting.
Build a squeeze page to promote the lead magnet. Measure everything and continue to tweak and test everything to improve your results.
Don’t make massive changes, just one simple change at a time. You want to split test your squeeze pages.

You Must Focus on One Idea
Focus is very important. You need to stick to one idea and one method until you get results.
Too often we will try something and not get the results we expect right away and figure it’s not going to work.
Avoid jumping from one thing to another.
This is sure to lead to failure.
If necessary, unsubscribe from lists that are just promoting to you. Better yet, set up rules in your email account that just moves the emails to a folder that you can ignore until sometime in the future.
When you are looking at a new tool or product ask yourself this: “Will this help me reach my goal right now, quicker than what I am already doing?” If not, then just ignore it.
Most tools that are being promoted are not going to help you in the beginning.
So, unless you need it for your business, don’t buy it.
Realize there are only a few things you need in the beginning.
An autoresponder, a hosting account for your website and a domain name.
