The Secret to Building Your
Online Business on the Cheap

Can you do this?

The answer is definitely.

Building an Online Business with minimal investment has become easier.

In this article, we will discuss what is needed to get started and how you can minimize your initial out of pocket costs.

What You Need to Get Started

Forums and internet community members may disagree.

They talk about how much money it will take to get started.

The reality is that you can get started for a very small amount of money.

What is needed to start?

There are just 3 things you will need to buy in the beginning.

Hosting

Hosting

Hosting – when you look at hosting there are ways to do this for free. DON’T.

You need to purchase a hosting package right from the beginning.

Free hosting accounts control your site.

They can drop you without notice.

Your hard work is gone.

You can get a hosting account for as little as a couple of bucks a month. Less than a Starbucks Mocha Latte.

So, do yourself a favor and sacrifice a cup of overpriced coffee if needed.

I recommend D9 Hosting to start with.

There are hundreds of hosting companies, but D9 Hosting does a good job and has good support.

Domain Name

You will need a domain name so you can brand your new business.

This should be a “.com or .net” domain.

There are many different extensions.

.com is the one you want.

If you have a name for your business, but the .com is taken, check to see if it is active or just being sold.

If it’s active, find another domain.

If the domain is just being sold, you can use the .net version.

Many domains were purchased by domain brokers hoping to make big bucks by selling them.

Most never get sold. I use NameCheap for my domains.

They are reasonable and easy to work with.

You can get your domain for about $12.00 a year. This won’t break the bank.

Autoresponder

AutoResponder

An autoresponder is an absolute must. You need to have a way to communicate with people that sign up on your website.

Using Gmail or Yahoo is just not an option for this level of communication.

There are too many complications and having an Autoresponder makes life easier.

With an Autoresponder, you can collect and manage people signing up on your site. You can email them all at the same time or in groups based on the message.

There is the ability to schedule emails so you can automate your email timing.

Autoresponders will normally offer a free trial so you can get started without having to spend money.

Plans generally start at about $15.00 a month.

I have used both GetResponse and AWeber. Both have been around for years, have great reputations and high deliverability.

They offer a 30-day trial too.

So, as you can see for about $25.00 a month you can be up and running.

Of course, there is more to it than this, but the cost is minimal to get started.

We’ll get into that later.

Assess Your Skills

The next thing that you need to address.

The start is by assessing your skills.

What are you good at?

Even if you are just out of school, you have developed expertise in your daily life. As an example, you may be bi-lingual or multi-lingual.

Maybe the skills you use in your job. What about your hobbies, like skiing or hunting? People are making money from gaming.

You may be a Warcraft genius or other game. Use that knowledge and build your website around offering tips and clues about the game.

The possibilities are limited only to your imagination. And, just because someone else is doing it, doesn’t mean you can’t.

Competition shows there is a market there. People will be attracted to your approach, so go for it! This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to get your Internet business started if you have no money.

Another popular and profitable technique is selling other people’s products. This is an easy way to get started. You can find products for any niche.

Sites like ClickBank, JVZoo, Commission Junction and others are good places to work. If you can’t find something there, Google it. “Affiliate products for XXX Niche”.

Pick a product you get excited about. One that you believe in.

This makes it easier to promote. It is possible to build an Online Business with Little or No Money, but it will require a commitment of time and effort.

Building a business is a journey, not an event. Don’t expect results overnight. Stick with it, put in the time and the results will come.

The only way you will fail is if you give up.

  • You can start your online business with a minimal investment
